Key Actions

  • Make recommendations and establish a plan for total database integration of product offerings and availability in the property management system, central reservation system, global and alternative distribution systems, and Internet travel sites.
  • Review and make recommendations on marketing, policies and hotel descriptive information in the global distribution systems for positioning and relevance.
  • Write a technical database manual for the Information Technology and database departments identifying structure limitations that can be used to automate information.
  • Identify and determine ways to streamline manual processes through automation.
  • Identify and analyze reservation transaction processing and identify areas to enhance for peak performance.
  • Identify and determine ways to improve customer service, increase booking efficiency and reduce operation costs.
  • Evaluate information integrity and consistency among the global and alternative distribution systems, central reservation system, and Internet travel site by auditing database information.
  • Assist with the planning, execution and implementation of the Request for Information/Request for Pricing (RFI/RFP) process, management of the process, and follow-up audits.
  • Act as a liaison between the Information Technology and operations departments to achieve maximum efficiency by suggesting technological enhancements, e.g., seamless availability, rate and hotel information updates, loading preferred information and rates.
  • Develop and oversee project plans and management relating to operational and technical enhancements, CRS, GDS, ADS, and commission migrations.
  • Consult on commission and automation processing and the establishment of a customer service support desk.
